Tebow Creates Havoc for Hitler
I had to post this video here because... ok... maybe it isn't in the best of taste, but it is funny. Imagine this...

DEFENSE
Oklahoma quarterback Sam Bradford should be given some credit. He played well in the loss to Florida, and proved he is a very accurate passer. Many times, he threw to receivers who were covered, and he managed to thread the ball in there more often than not. But he may have attempted to do that one time too many. With ten minutes left in the fourth quarter, Florida clinging to a three point lead, and Oklahoma driving, Bradford threw this pass, and Florida's Ahmad Black made a miraculous interception (video below).
The look on Bradford's face as he stood up said it all. "How the hell did he get that?"
Here's the bad news for everybody else in college football in 2009: with Brandon Spikes' announcement that he is returning for his senior season, this Gator defense is returning intact. All 11 starters. This is the defense that limited the most prolific scoring offense in modern college football history to two measly touchdowns in the one game that mattered most. In the secondary, cornerback Janoris Jenkins is a freshman, cornerback Joe Haden is a sophomore,
safety Major Wright is a sophomore, and the aforementioned safety Ahmad Black is a sophomore. When you think of Florida's defense next season, only one word should come to mind: scary.

Tebow Not Perfect After All, But He's BACK!
In the BCS Championship game, Tim Tebow proved that he is not perfect after all. (Then again, who is?) He threw two first half interceptions, doubling his season total. And he drew an unsportsmanlike conduct penalty for this Gator Chomp directed at Sooner safety Nick Harris (video below):
As previously documented here, Harris was one of the Sooners shooting off his mouth before the game, and he was the classless piece of crap who purposely twisted Percy Harvin's injured ankle after a making a tackle. He probably deserved to be chomped by an actual 'gator.
While Tebow may not be perfect, he IS returning for his senior season at Florida - much to the delight of Gator fans everywhere, and much to the chagrin of Florida's future opponents. That news, combined with the fact that All-American linebacker Brandon Spikes is also coming backing for year four, means Tebow has a chance to complete the most amazing college football career ever. He has a decent chance at another Heisman Trophy, and very good chance at helping his team to a third national championship in four years. The strength of his character off the field has been well documented, but he has an opportunity to solidify his reputation on the field as well.
Some people may get tired of hearing all the hype for another season, but the college football world is better with Tebow in it.

Brandon Spikes
I should take this opportunity to talk a bit about Brandon Spikes. This Gator defense has no senior starters on it. None. Brandon Spikes is a junior, and the only player considered likely to leave early for the NFL. Brandon Spikes is to the defense what Tim Tebow is to the offense. If he decides to come back for his senior season, the Gator defense will be absolutely brutal.
Here are a couple of my favorite Brandon Spikes moments from this season:

Major Wright Sets the Tone for the Gator Defense
I plan to post ALL kinds of fun things over the next several days just because I can. It's my blog, dammit, and my favorite team just won another national championship. I'm going to enjoy this!
The Sooners had never scored less than 35 points in a game, and averaged 54 points per game coming into this one - tops in the country in scoring this year, and, in fact, the most prolific scoring offense in the modern era of college football. But, in this game, not so much. They could only muster 14 points.
In this video clip, Florida's Major Wright sends an early message to Oklahoma receiver Manuel Johnson. I guarantee you, prior to this game, the Sooners hadn't seen a defense like this Gator defense.
