Flipping Out

The video below is a perfect illustration of what makes major college football downright scary.  During warm-ups for the International Bowl in December, South Florida's Kion Wilson and Jason Pierre-Paul decided to find out who could do the most back flips.  See for yourself...

Here is the scary part: Jason Pierre-Paul (the guy who did 13 back flips) is a defensive end who is listed at 6-6, 260. He runs the 40 yard dash in 4.64 seconds.  He finished 2009 with 6.5 sacks and 16.5 tackles for loss.  All I can say is... wow.

Down Time - News Time - Draft Time

I should take a moment to tell my faithful readers that we somehow managed to triple our regular traffic on this blog last fall. That wouldn't be too impressive if it went from three readers to nine, but we're talking thousands of people here (yes, there is built-in computer code to help me track readership). Obviously, most of my fans are in the US, but I have readers in Italy, the Russian Federation, the UK, France, Indonesia and South Africa. So, I urge you to keep doing what you have been doing. If you like what you are reading, share it with friends. If you have an idea for something different, share it with me.

I received overwhelmingly positive feedback to the Moments in College Football History features, here (1), here (2), here (3), and here (4). So, I expect to do more of the same this coming season. Let me know if there are Moments in College Football History that interest you.

Illegal Procedure is mostly on hiatus during the offseason for college football. If I find something that is exceptionally interesting or funny, I'll post it. So it never hurts to check back here from time to time. If you find something that is exceptionally interesting or funny, please send it to me and I'll post it.

If you are looking for news on recruiting, I recommend that you go here --> Rivals.com, here --> Scout.com or here --> ESPN.com's Recruiting Page.

If you are looking for the latest on the NFL Draft, I recommend that you go here --> NFL.com's Draft Page or here --> ESPN.com's NFL Draft Page.

Finally, my host (Blogspot.com) occasionally makes changes to their formatting and coding. Sometimes it affects pictures, graphics or links that I posted previously. I will continue to try to peruse old posts and keep everything as tidy as possible, but, if you find missing images or broken links that I haven't yet found, let me know and I will replace or remove them.

Thanks!
